Seasonal Flu Vaccination

The winter vaccination programme has started. If you are eligible for a free flu vaccine, you will get a letter from NHS Scotland. This will either give you an appointment date and time at one of the flu vaccination clinics in Lothian, or instruct you to make an appointment using an online portal.

If you are eligible for a COVID booster, you may get this at the same time as your flu jab, but this is not guaranteed, and you may have to attend two separate appointments.

You will not get your flu or COVID jabs at your GP practice. Please do not contact the surgery about your flu or COVID jab appointments.

If you have received a letter with an appointment that you are unable to attend, you can rearrange your appointment online here.  Alternatively you can call the vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013 for assistance with re-booking.

If you are housebound, your jabs will be given to you by the housebound team, and they will be in touch to arrange this.

Test Results

test_vials2If investigations are arranged by the doctor, it is essential that you understand how to obtain your results. An enquiry to reception will tell you if the result is available and whether or not you need to speak to the doctor again. Results for tests requested by the surgery team are available by telephoning reception between 2pm and 4pm on any working day.  Hospital colleagues are responsible for providing results of any tests they have requested.  If you need to contact any NHS Lothian Hospital department, please contact the NHS Lothian Hospital Switchboard on 0131 537 1000.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to (if aged 16 and over) unless that person has given prior written permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
