Seasonal Flu Vaccination

The winter vaccination programme has started. If you are eligible for a free flu vaccine, you will get a letter from NHS Scotland. This will either give you an appointment date and time at one of the flu vaccination clinics in Lothian, or instruct you to make an appointment using an online portal.

If you are eligible for a COVID booster, you may get this at the same time as your flu jab, but this is not guaranteed, and you may have to attend two separate appointments.

You will not get your flu or COVID jabs at your GP practice. Please do not contact the surgery about your flu or COVID jab appointments.

If you have received a letter with an appointment that you are unable to attend, you can rearrange your appointment online here.  Alternatively you can call the vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013 for assistance with re-booking.

If you are housebound, your jabs will be given to you by the housebound team, and they will be in touch to arrange this.

Appointments

GP Appointments
All initial appointments with GPs are being done by telephone.  Our GPs can help the majority of patients without the need for a face to face appointment - this is the safest way for both patients and staff.  If the GP feels there is a clinical need for a face to face appointment, they will arrange this during your telephone appointment.

We offer:

  • Routine telephone appointments (available to book up to four weeks in advance)
  • "On the Day" appointments which are released at 8am each morning

To arrange a GP appointment:

  • Telephone the surgery reception on 0131 336 5432
  • The receptionist will ask you what is wrong and arrange a telephone appointment with a GP

Practice Nurse Appointments
Our Practice Nurse team are here to see essential appointments in the surgery.

To arrange a Practice Nurse appointment:

  • Telephone the surgery reception on 0131 336 5432
  • The receptionist will ask you what the appointment is for and provide you with an appointment date and time to attend

If you are coming to the surgery we ask that you arrive at your appointment time and wear a face covering.  You will have to buzz at the door to gain access to the building.  Where possible, we ask that you attend alone to minimise the number of people passing through the building.
